This issue of PISC provides ideas and tools to build media literacy skills and engage communities in meaningful dialogue to end sexual violence. The publication includes several articles that provide a framework to understand the importance of medial literacy skills and its relationship to sexual violence prevention work. The readers are provided with a Prevention Resource Spotlight on Sex, Gender Norms and Pornography that examines the film Don Jon. This section includes a discussion guide for facilitators. This issue also includes a section titled "Question Oppressions" to help further the conversation about media literacy work. 

This issue is a collection of articles written for The Prevention Resource Center, a project of WCSAP, It was developed to provide information and resources of media literacy to individuals, communities, and agencies engaged in sexual violence prevention.

The materials and discussion guide inside offer helpful resources to support training on media literacy.
