Mountain 2024: “We Are Each Other’s Harvest” | “Somos la cosecha del otre“

“We Are Each Other’s Harvest”

“'Courageously loving myself' are you kidding - I will think about this beautiful phrase everyday. Also I take away lots of pivotal programs and strategies other community members implement for further inspiration within community.”

– Town Hall Participant

The National Resource Center on Domestic Violence, in collaboration with partners from across the Mountain region of the United States, held our fifth virtual Prevention Town Hall on September 24 and 25, 2024.

What does prevention look like when rooted in community and culture, outside of systems? This space offered a virtual gallery tour of innovative change-making projects, collectives, and approaches that fuel us all forward.

Presenters explored creative, sustainable approaches for advancing social change in the face of uncertainty. Across all aspects of our movement work - from housing rights to survivor healing to restorative justice - each of us plays a critical part in creating the world we wish to live into together. In the words of Gwendolyn Brooks, “We are each other's harvest; we are each other's business; we are each other's magnitude and bond.”

This page features recommendations and calls to action from each session, session recordings and related materials, and reflections and key takeaways.
