DELTA Impact Stories

About DELTA Impact

Through the DELTA Impact program, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) funded State Domestic Violence Coalitions and their local communities to implement strategies and approaches designed to prevent intimate partner violence. DELTA Impact supported Coordinated Community Response Teams to use intimate partner violence primary prevention strategies that affect the structural determinants of health at the societal or community levels, or the factors that influence where people live, work, and age.

DELTA Impact focused on three key strategies:

  • Engage Influential Adults and Peers
  • Create Protective Environments
  • Strengthen Economic Supports for Families

These strategies are explored in CDC’s Preventing Intimate Partner Violence Across the Lifespan: A Technical Package of Programs, Policies, and Practices (2017).
