Athletes As Leaders Program video

Media Type:

Athletes As Leaders aims to empower high school athletes on girls' sports teams to take an active role in promoting healthy relationships and ending sexual violence. Athletes are encouraged to be leaders in changing their schools' social norms to promote a culture of safety and respect.

The Athletes As Leaders program empowers female-identified youth to take an active role in promoting healthy relationships and ending sexual violence through a series of lessons that address topics such as:

  • Challenging gender stereotypes
  • Privilege and oppression
  • Self-image and standards of beauty
  • And more!

The Athletes As Leaders website features a guide that outlines each lesson, as well as links to videos, evaluation tools, recommended policies, and other helpful resources.

Access the complete program on Athletes As Leaders' website. The program is designed to be used in conjunction with other programs with intentional efforts to engage men and boys, such as Coaching Boys Into Men.
