During February’s National Teen Dating Violence Awareness & Prevention Month (TDVAM), teens and those who support them join together to raise awareness to teen dating violence. Dating violence is more common than many people think. One in three teens in a dating relationship experience abuse – emotional, sexual, or physical.

By joining together each February, we can empower young people with knowledge and skills to increase awareness and stop dating abuse before it starts! By learning about unhealthy and healthy relationships, and especially sharing how friends can support friends in abusive relationships, every teen can make a difference. The Idaho Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault’s “In Right Relationship” campaign is designed to promote healthy relationship skills and help teens and their allies in identifying and preventing dating violence.

Dating violence is more common than many people think. One in three teens in a dating relationship experience abuse – emotional, sexual, or physical. The “In Right Relationship” campaign features posters in English and Spanish, pocket brochures, guides for parents and service providers, and other free campaign materials to raise awareness and prevent teen dating violence.
