The guide builds upon the significant evidence base and approach of VicHealth’s Preventing violence before it occurs: A framework and background paper to guide the primary prevention of violence against women in Victoria (2007) and is part of the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and their Children 2010–2022.
This guide was designed for prevention practitioners and includes chapters on planning, collecting and collating data, disseminating findings and nine evaluation tools. Tools offered include frameworks for evaluation as well as useful tools such as worksheets, logic models templates and step- by-step guidance.
Practitioners will find the templates and worksheets useful for thinking through evaluation plans.
