Many prevention specialists who work with schools help to review and develop policies for the institutions they work with in addition to providing prevention education. This resource was created to assist prevention specialists as they worked on levels 5 and 6 of the SOP.

Do not use the policy as is. Instead use it as a guide and modify it to fit the school environment. School personnel should be involved in using the resource.
