Clearing Up Social Norms Change and Social Marketing for Sexual and Domestic Violence Prevention

Date:
Tuesday, 30 July 2019

As the field of sexual and domestic violence prevention advances and approaches new strategies, learning the key differences between strategies with similar names and approaches is crucial to success. Social norms change and social marketing campaigns are different yet sometimes overlapping terms that are used interchangeably. This web conference will draw on lessons from the tobacco prevention field to illustrate successful social norms change and social marketing campaigns, and the differences between them. In this PreventConnect webinar, presenters will identify examples of social norms change and social marketing campaigns within sexual and domestic violence prevention, examine the key components and techniques of both strategies, and inspire creativity for future social norms change efforts and social marketing campaigns.
